For the period 1st April to 30th September, 2013, the Kolleg invites applications for three Junior Fellowships from outstanding historians ofEastern Europe or related disciplines whose PhDs should not have been completed more than one year prior to application.

The Fellowships have a maximum duration of six months.

Fellows are expected to conceptualize a larger scholarly project which corresponds to the research interests of the Kolleg. They are expected to work at the Imre Kert?sz Kolleg and to reside inJena.

Funding is EUR 3.500 per month plus housing allowance. Alternatively, funding can be provided to finance a substitute at the home university.
