Major thematic areas of this special "Agora" issue will include:
1. Historical examples of reconciliation: lessons for Russia and Ukraine
2. Economic, human and environmental consequences of the crisis and future peace process
3. Education, civil society, think tanks and the media in present-day Ukraine and Russia: are they pro-conflict or pro-dialogue?
4. Cultural diplomacy as a mechanism of bridge-making efforts: its potential and its limitations
The special Agora issue will be edited by a joint Ukrainian-Russian editorial board comprised of:
Antonina Kolodiy – professor of political science, Public Administration Academy under the President of Ukraine, Lviv branch
Ivan Kurilla – professor of history, Volgograd State University
Mikhail Minakov - associate professor in philosophy and political science, University of “Kiev-Mohyla Academy”
Alexandr Okun – associate professor in history, Samara State University
The articles should be sent to the Kennan Institute Kyiv Office by no later than August 31, 2015 at KennanKyivOffice@gmail.com (please add “Agora” in the subject line).
